The Office of Planning has been working for the past several
years to update the city's Zoning regulations, which date from
the 1950s. You could go directly on-line to HPO's
website and click on the draft plan icon that appears on the home page. Reviewing the draft will allow you to
assess any potential impact on a historic district, such as Sheridan-Kalorama,
or the city in general.
Public comments can be presented to the
Historic Preservation Review Board on Thursday, April 25 or you can
submit written comments to: Bruce Yarnall, Historic
Preservation Office/DC Office of Planning,
Advisory Neighborhood
Commission 2D meets the third Monday of the month unless otherwise
announced. There is an open forum at
each meeting for discussion of relevant issues not on the regular agenda.
